Can someone explain the end of Interstellar?

Certainly! "Interstellar" is a science fiction film directed by Christopher Nolan that explores themes of space travel, time dilation, and the survival of humanity. The ending of the movie can be a bit complex and open to interpretation, but I'll do my best to explain it.

In the final act of the film, the protagonist, Cooper (played by Matthew McConaughey), enters a black hole called Gargantua. Inside the black hole, Cooper experiences a phenomenon known as a "tesseract," which is a three-dimensional representation of a four-dimensional space. This tesseract is created by advanced beings, referred to as "they" in the movie, who exist beyond the dimensions of time and space.

Within the tesseract, Cooper can observe different moments in the life of his daughter, Murph, who is now an adult and works as a scientist. He realizes that he is the one who has been communicating with Murph from different moments in time through gravitational anomalies, which he previously thought were random occurrences.

Using the gravitational anomalies, Cooper sends Murph the necessary data to solve a gravitational equation that will allow humanity to escape Earth's dying environment and find a new habitable planet. Cooper communicates this information to Murph by manipulating the hands of a watch and causing gravitational disturbances that spell out the required data.

Murph receives the message from Cooper and successfully solves the equation, enabling the launch of massive space colonies that will carry the remaining human population to a new world. Meanwhile, Cooper is ejected from the tesseract and found near Saturn by a spacecraft. He is rescued and brought back to the space station where the survivors have settled.

The movie's ending sequence depicts Cooper reuniting with an elderly Murph, who is on her deathbed. Murph reveals that she always knew her father would come back and explains that she's been working to save the human race because of their connection. Cooper also learns that Plan A (saving humanity on Earth) failed, but Plan B (the colonization of a new planet) was successful.

Before Cooper leaves, he learns that scientists have discovered another potential habitable planet near Saturn. He decides to embark on another mission to find Amelia Brand, a scientist who was previously sent to explore a distant planet. Cooper's intention is to join her in the hope of starting a new life there.

The ending of "Interstellar" is open-ended, leaving the audience to interpret whether Cooper successfully finds Amelia Brand and whether they manage to establish a new home for humanity. The movie explores themes of love, sacrifice, and the potential of human exploration and discovery in the face of adversity.
