FSSAI Registration License


INTRODUCTION









All the restaurants and street food vendors need approval from the Food Safety and Standard Authority (FSSAI) to do their business. It does not matter how much they earn in a year, it is mandatory to have this license before starting any food business. Operatives in the food business of India need to apply for the FSSAI license scale that they are operating.





WHAT IS FSSAI LICENSE?





Normally, FSSAI license gives you a 14-digit registration number which is mentioned in the certificate. You can print this license number after filing and use the FSSAI logo and your license number at the package of your products to promote the business with standardization.





TYPES OF FSSAI LICENSE:-





The FSSAI certification license is divided into 3 main types. The classifications of food licenses in India are as follows-





1. FSSAI Basic registration license:





This registration if for small business. One must apply for the basic license if the turnover is not more than 12 lakh Rupees.





2. FSSAI State Registration:





You can apply for a state license Business if your turnover is between 12 lakh to 20 crore.





3. FSSAI Central registration license:





You should apply for a central license if your Business turnover exceeds INR 20 crore.





CONCLUSION





The business operator can choose the food license based on their business sale. If you are a normal food business operator, you must require a Basic Food License.





On the other hand, if your product is of superior quality and you have a good sale to a state in between twelve lakh to twenty crores, then you must have an FSSAI State License.





In contrast with, if your products are of great quality, are value for money, safe, healthy, more demanding and you want to expand the business, then you can go for a Central License.





One must get the FSSAI license from an ISO certified company to boostup your business.
