Ad guru Piyush Pandey has been elevated as Ogilvy's global chief creative officer. Pandey, currently creative head for the agency’s South Asian operations, will be the first Indian to assume the role. He has been party to some of India’s most memorable advertisements, including a Cadbury spot where a dancing girl invades a cricket field, and the now-iconic ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara’. He also created ‘second-hand smoke kills’, the first Indian campaign to bag a double gold at Cannes. Pandey was awarded the Padma Shri in 2016.
