In a $100 million deal; Ola buys scooter sharing startup Vogo to grab a share in scooter rental business.
Vogo is a travel tech startup which operates in Hyderabad and Bengaluru to offer scooter sharing and rental service to the commuters. It has grown at a considerable rate in last year. It has raised $6-7 million in series A funding from Ola and Pawan Munjal, Chairman of Hero Moto Corp.
Vogo operates through a fleet size of 1,00,000 scooters. Vogo services will be available right in Ola app soon. This is a second big bet of Ola to become a more diversified travel company after its $25 million acquisition of Ridlr, a ticketing and commuting app.
